Model history[]
The 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Car is a casting designed by Ryu Asada that debuted for the 2006 mainline. The casting had a number of MB689 and was in production from 2006 to 2015, when it was discontinued. The casting also spawned a new casting known as the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Taxi.
It would return in 2017, having been retooled for easier assembly. The separate red light bar is gone, becoming part of the window assembly. That casting became the basis for a new casting created for the Moving Parts line with opening rear doors.
