The 50th Anniversary Superfast Gold Series series was released in 2019 and exclusively sold at Target retailers. These chase models consisted of 6 models, based on the mainline version of the casting released for that particular assortment. Gold paint on the body and wheels were an indicator that it was a chase model. The only models to receive chrome bases for this series are the ´51 Hudson Hornet and the ´69 BMW 2002. The line marks the debut of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 casting; a variation with a two piece interior instead of one piece blacked out windows with no interior only reserved for premium lines.
The line was discontinued after 1 year, replaced by the Retro Series for 2020.
