Casting History

The Ambulance (1996), also issued as the Ford Ambulance, was originally released in 1997.

It depicts a modern Type III North American ambulance, built on a Ford chassis. The vehicle lacks an interior, using textured windows to hide the fact. As an emergency vehicle with large, flat surfaces on its top and sides, this casting was popular with third-party customizers; this page is limited to those versions released directly by Matchbox.
