Harry Potter is a fictional character created by British author J.K. Rowling. He’s the titular protagonist in a series of seven fantasy novels. The books chronicle Harry’s life as a young wizard attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, along with his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The main story arc revolves around Harry’s conflict with the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who seeks immortality and aims to subjugate all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people). The series has become immensely popular worldwide, with over 600 million copies sold and adaptations into films. Matchbox acquired the Harry Potter license in 2024 to create Harry Potter themed vehicles and playsets.
