In 2004, Matchbox launched the short-lived Ultra Heroes line as a sub-series of the 1-75 range. The series entirely consisted of fantasy vehicles. However, due to their oddball designs, they were poorly received by many collectors, and Ultra Heroes were discontinued the following year.
