Chevy Pro Stocker Comparison Side 20131216 JSCC

Comparison of changes made to the Chevy Pro Stocker when production moved from England, side view. Josiah Carberry Collection.

The Chevy Pro Stocker is a Chevrolet Stock Car racer, originally issued in 1981 to replace Vantastic. When Lesney was sold and became Matchbox International, the Chevy Pro Stocker was given a mild redesign, filling in the headlights and enlarging the rear spoiler. In 1987, it was replaced in the line-up by MB34-D, Ford RS200, but continued to appear in special editions and multipacks for several years.

The plastic interior of the car does not expand past the seat back; the rear window is frosted to obscure the top of the car's base in that area.
