Model history[]
After its discontinuation in 2011, the Citroen DS (1968) was set to return in 2017 for the Best of World Matchbox line for Toys "R" Us. It was shown in prototype form at that year's Matchbox Gathering only for it to be canceled as the license for Citroen fell through and Toys "R" Us filed for bankruptcy.
It would return in 2021 as the license for Citroen was renewed.
