The Mobile Crane was originally released in 1984. It is based on a prototype vehicle by Faun, and the casting has roots in another Faun vehicle, the Faun Quarry Dump Truck , which provided the chassis and base of this model, with minor changes. Another Matchbox vehicle, the 1976 Crane Truck , donated the crane cab, boom, and hook.
