Produced from 2003 to 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer offered in 2 door coupe, roadster, and speedster (limited run) body styles. As a collaboration between the luxury marques of Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, the SLR McLaren takes inspiration from the 300 SLR with carbon reinforced body panels and active aerodynamics.
The Matchbox Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren debuted for the 2009 1-75 mainline under the Sports Cars series in Blue Silver. The model has a number of MB766 and was in production for 2009 before it was discontinued because Matchbox lost the Mercedes Benz license. The casting returned in 2016 when the license was renewed.
