The dump and cement truck versions of the 1981 Peterbilt share the same chassis.

The Peterbilt Dump Truck, also known as the Peterbilt Quarry Truck, is one of several derivatives of the 1981 Peterbilt casting. It is most closely related to the Peterbilt Cement Truck, sharing that vehicle's tipping bed mechanism, cast license plate (B1281), and rear bumper with chevrons and CAUTION legend. When the bed is lifted, the curved cut-out for the cement truck's drum can also be seen in the dump truck.
