The Pierce Quantum Aerial Ladder is a casting with a telescoping ladder that debuted for the 2008 Real Working Rigs series. It was originally produced as RW003 for 2009 only before it was discontinued. It returned for 2015 as a mail in order model only before going on hiatus. The casting returned for the Working Rigs (2020) series, resumed production.
It is similar to the Pierce Velocity 100ft Aerial Platform truck (RW015), with which it is often confused. The most obvious difference may be the presence of a platform at the top of the Velocity's ladder, which is lacking in the Quantum, but other differences, such as the spacing of the side windows and the cabinet arrangement, also exist.
