A 1959 Miller-Meteor ambulance was the basis for the Ecto-1 in the movie Ghostbusters.
This casting replicates the 1963-1964 S&S Ambulance, earlier iterations had much larger tailfins and a swooping "Pillarless" design on the very rear of the cabin, a design element borrowed from the Cadillac Fleetwood upon which it was based.
The company, Sayers and Scovill (S&S) remains in business today, but no longer produces ambulances.
