In 1984 Matchbox introduced a range of large-sized models called Specials. The range initially comprised six race / rally cars, each offered in two liveries.[1] The Specials were joined in 1985 by pull-back models called Turbo Specials using the same castings.
The Specials and Turbo Specials continued for a few years, sometimes being called Super GT Sport and Turbo Chargers. In 1989, the Specials were incorporated into the Super Kings range.
For a listing of models, please see the Specials category page.
