Thanks for contributing! I really appreciate the Wheel Types page, that'll be a huge help around here.Kevinharbin 00:20, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome! I'll definitely ask if I have any questions. I'm having fun adding casting pages for cars in my collection. I have about 3,000, so I won't run out of things to add for a long time. --MatchboxDan 04:04, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Whoa! Now that's a lot of Matchbox cars! I'm envious! HaarFager 05:04, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the message. I usually leave the editing to you guys, because I messed up a few times. I will try to edit one or two for the site. As you can see I left quite a few photos on these site and the other one. I have many more photos that I haven't posted. For example I have 7 different Desert Thunder V16 that I would like to post. I try to put those very unique ones that I find. Well thanks again hope to hear from you soon. DADandJR 01:12, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

By the way I hope you like my photos I'm not a pro at taking them. DADandJR 01:14, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Did the Desert Thunder come in a recent 5-Pack with other Zoo vehicles? I have the Chevy Blazer posted here out of that 5-Pack and haven't photographed the others yet. If it's the Desert Thunder and you already have an image of it, I probably won't need to photograph mine. I think your photos are fine! Thanks for adding them! HaarFager 01:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC) Edit

I try to make an account but it says. Sorry we are anable to make you an account pls go back to the main oage. Sorry if I had made a little trouble. I hope you understand.

Try deleting all your cookies, clearing your cache, restarting your computer and then try creating account once again. It should work for you. HaarFager 23:38, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Scale Edit

I added the scale to pages since it was already in the casting template ( I noticed that there was an error in the code which made it display on the same line as the Debut Series. I fixed the code so now it displays properly. I think it would make more sense to put the scale here, since it would be the same for every model and would be redundant to put into the notes/variations of every instance. I'm trying to clean up the pages since many either are a mess or don't exist. I'm working on completing the 2009 models and working back from there. I think there should be some sort of common standardization, since every editor seems to have their own ways to edit. See my comments in the discussion of the casting template for some ideas and questions I have for standardization. 99escort 21:34, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your input. I'm going to use the standards we discussed as I add/update pages. My plan for now is to complete my sweep of the 2009 1-100 series and then update the pages through the 5-packs, etc. I actually happened upon the scale in the header by using the new editor where it is still appearing. I saw an error in the display code, which is why it was not appearing correctly. Check out the header on Jaguar XK 120SE and let me know what you think of including the scale. It can be moved further down in the header if desired. I will hold off on adding any scales to pages until a decision is made. 99escort 00:22, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

I just tried to send this message, but my IE crashed and lost it before I saved it. What I said was that I tried the Jaguar page and even when I added a fake designer's name in, it didn't throw off the spacing of the header. So, I say go for it! I would suggest that the scale be the last thing in the list, thought, not first.
I made the update to the template. Thanks! 99escort 02:23, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
No problem! Thanks again for your work and contributions! Kenny. HaarFager 08:30, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Well to be honest with you I'm looking foreward to the new Matchbox cars in the future but due to the budget crisis and all of the cars that I've found was in my head to the books to the varification guides and I do hope they would come out of the factory instead into the junkyard these cars will look good in the collection instead of wasting them like the Hot Wheels cars in the future I sure hope the money if can get it in soon Thank You

Thanks Again Edit

I just wanted to say thanks again for all your contributions. I've definately been neglecting this site and your work is indispensable. Kevinharbin 02:07, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, Kevin! Kenny. HaarFager 08:30, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Thumbnail Sizing Edit

How do you get the photos that small. Thanks for fixing them. Have you check out the rest of the ones I have. Thanks again get back to me.

The easiest way to learn the correct size is when you go to edit a page, look at the line of code for the other pictures on that page. If you just copy and paste that line of code where you're going to add a new picture, then just paste the name of the new picture you've uploaded over the name of the old picture, leaving all the rest of the code intact. Nonsense all over from Edit

Since you're the Admin around here can you remove all of the nonsense pages created by yesterday? Thanks. 99escort 16:09, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Well, I think I got rid of it all. I do have to say, though, that it was some of the most creative and convoluted vandalism I've ever seen! Just think what they could do if they channeled their efforts constructively. HaarFager 16:59, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I didn't know what to make of it. It was definitely different. 99escort 04:25, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

To the Matchbox collecting community - please excuse this intrusion. Edit

If you thought I would cool off by banning me, you were wrong.

You only furthered my resolve to get my grievances aired.

It is truly amazing how you read what you want, interpret it the way you see fit, assign your own deluded motives to my actions and avoid the REAL issue.

You're banning comments are so two faced it's not funny.

22:39 (Block log) . . HaarFager (Talk | contribs) blocked Ranugad (Talk | contribs) with an expiry time of 1 week (account creation disabled, e-mail blocked, cannot edit own talk page) (Intimidating behavior/harassment: I have banned you, Bob, simply because you reverted one of your edits to get at me. That is unacceptable

I challenge your accusations that what I did was intimidating or harassing - and I don't want your feelings or opinions, I want substantive explanations.

And as for what I did to Mike's work on the Radar Ranger page, you are SO WRONG!!!

I vandalized his work in the same way you vandalized my work (big, BIG even BIGGER - WITHOUT valid explanation OR discussion - I had every intention of reverting when my point was made). When I reverted my edits moving his second images to the gallery, I was putting the page BACK to the way it looked because it LOOKED GOOD! I did NOT do that to GET AT YOU! I did it to draw immediate attention to work I used as inspiration and precedence for what I did.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with my like or dislike of you. I have NO clue who you are, and neither like nor dislike you. It is your WORK here that I have problems with. And not the work you do to improve the wiki. You flew way off the handle accusing anyone you could have vandalizing your efforts and meanwhile Sinnin discovered that it was the editor deleting your extra lines on the casting pages. You should have been bowing down in humility and disgrace for having jumped to conclusions and rant the blame to the editors.

And when those kids first started adding the specifications to the casting pages, again, their work was just eliminated with no VALID reasoning and no discussion. Not until they complained and persisted were their concerns addressed.

These events are factual. You may see what you did differently, but I see what you and brad and dave have been doing as bullying. Your administrator/moderator status should be revoked PERMANENTLY; you do not operate in the spirit of the wiki as I have come to understand the way it's supposed to work.

If you want rules followed, state them!

You offer little to no guidance to new users.

You've done little to nothing to promote the wiki.

No groups, no teams, no projects.

And how long have you been an admin?

I've asked at least a dozen questions in regards to little tips and tricks I've been learning and trying to incorporate into the wiki with no replies.

You could be the nicest guy in the world, Kenny, I could care less if you are or aren't.

I'm here to share my hobby.

I intend to continue working on the HW wiki. Whether you like me or not.

Whether you like my work or not. This shouldn't be about what you want or like.

And the wiki also shouldn't be so rigid that changes cannot be made to accommodate the people who wish to contribute to the wiki.I'm putting this here to keep this public and since I hvae no idea who else in charge, I have no clue whom to address this grievance, and since I can't edit at the HW wiki, I can't ask Toughpigs/Danny.

bob ranugad 23:11, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you're right, bob ranugad. HaarFager is looking at his / her point of view and think everything that's his info is right, and nobody can change them. That action is taking over. HaarFager needs to stop accusing and blocking / banning, or thinking that his things are right and can't be removed. You can check out the message "Blocking and Banning" for what I say about this, bob ranugad. 14:08, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

User, you're skating very close to behavior that could get you banned. First, you are making assumptions that everything I do is my point of view. That is your first mistake. Second, you're assuming that my edits are right and that I think they "can't be removed." The fact is, whoever created this wiki set the standard of how he wanted things to work and all I do is to follow those standards, not just randomly use "my point of view." I joined his wiki because I respected his wishes of how it should work. Because he saw that I could respect what he was trying for here in creating and building up this wiki, he made me an administrator. To this day, I continue doing things in the manner the conforms to his wishes on how this wiki should look. I don't know how many new users keep coming along and think that I just do as I please around here.
Think of it this way - if I DID do things just any way I pleased, so do you. So why shouldn't I have the same right to do things in my own way the same as you apparently feel you have the right to do things? As an administator, it's my job to see that this wiki conforms to the standard it was created to do, and that it stays on this same course. If everybody was allowed to just do whatever he/she wanted, whether or not it was the standard way of doing things, very soon this wiki would become incomprehensible. It's my job to ensure that this wiki remains the viable tool it was created to be. And if you have a problem with this, perhaps this wiki isn't the place you ought to be. I know you don't even care enough about this wiki to even register and get a user name. It makes me wonder why you want to hide behind your anonomynity? HaarFager 23:35, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

MB WheelsEdit

Hello Kenny.I've recently acquired some MB Ford trucks(what a surprise)I had intended to make a few minor Contributions, however I have a Question(another Surprise)How do you import the wheel examples and from Where? Pirate4722 07:12, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, all wheel pictures found on the Matchbox Cars Wiki are contributed by individual users. With almost all of them provided by me and one other user. That's something else I like to do is take pictures of the wheels! Hope this helps! Add away, if you have any wheel types not represented. I know there are a lot not represented, but I don't really have that many Matchboxes to do much about it. Kenny HaarFager 22:28, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
Is this a necessity or merely abstract protocol?Pirate4722 03:15, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
What do you mean, "is this a necessity or merely abstract protocol?" Adding images of wheels? I don't know how to answer that. You can do whatever you want. If you feel you're not able to add wheel images, you don't have to. If you can add wheel images, that's what this is all about, so feel free to do so. HaarFager 04:02, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Thank You Kenny Edit

Apparently I overlooked this originally.

New Matchbox cars out of books to varification guides Edit

I have a big list of the new matchbox cars with the hot wheels cars that will look good in the furure car display that I'm working on along with the cars from the factories to the junkyards that needs recycling and restoring to build a bigger display if the cars in my head along with the display that needs working on doesn't get wasted in the junkyards that will be helpful because you don't know how big the collection will be in the future thank you

From Ctw100s

Hi, I won't leave messages like that anymore, but I did check under my Volkswagen T2 Bus and it really is MB734; and what did I do wrong on MBX Motor Home because the cars I put on there were removed.

It was probably correct information you added on the MBX Motor Home page, it was just incorrect coding. You'll have to add coding like it is found elsewhere on the pages you work on. The coding has to be right. I spend a lot of time correcting errors from new users like this and it takes away from my time to take more pictures and do the fun stuff associated with adding to Wiki's. But, when I have to fix other people's errors all the time, it doesn't leave me much time for anything else. Please, before you add any more to the Wiki, make sure your coding is correct and the same as found on the particular page you're working on. That's all I'm asking. It's great having another fan of Matchbox like yourself to join us here! So, thanks for becoming a member of the Matchbox Cars Wiki! Kenny HaarFager 23:54, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
However, everyone don't know what you mean by coding, and you leave no answer. That's why everyone is confused and they are blocked or even banned by you. You even talked to Badger16 about banning me for a total misunderstanding. Also, I do not know the real name of the "Isuzu Flatbed." Matchbox Database states that model that name, for possibly multiple names. I do not have that model, so I don't know. If you have that model, put the first variation of Hiway Hauler on a new page with the correct name, because that model and the Flatbed Truck are two different models. 14:13, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
What do you mean when you say "everyone don't know what you mean by coding?" If you're making edits, you're looking at coding. As I said above, "make sure your coding is correct and the same as found on the particular page you're working on." If you still don't know what I mean by coding, maybe working on this wiki is above your skills and you need to go somewhere and learn. I didn't learn how to work on wikis, I just looked at coding everybody else had done and used that same coding. All you have to know how to do is "cut and paste," you don't have to understand the theory behind the coding. Just make your edits the same way as other people's edits look. HaarFager 00:04, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

What's the coding?Edit

I don't get what's the coding, and when other people remove my cars I listed I felt like they think these cars are not real and made-up. However, I wan't to know better about coding, From Ctw100s.

User Hepcik keeps changing the photo of the Ford Box to his version on the 1999 page. My version is not only older, but it's a better representation. I'll change the photo to better represent, and he will change it back. It's a bit of passive-aggressive child-like behavior. Is there anything that can be done to lock the image? RazoE 14:52, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

I've been out of town, so sorry I was late responding to this. I think I've already caught him doing this before, but I'll put a stop to this problem right now. Kenny HaarFager 04:30, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! What I cant understand is that he has some great photos with cars out of the package, but then will replace them with card photos at terrible angles. He has quite a few good photos, but it's not worth him trashing pages for it. Thank you, and sorry to bug you on the HW page as well. RazoE 13:34, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
You weren't bugging me, it was no trouble at all! I saw some of his photos and they were good. I just can't understnad what's going on in some people's minds. We have a wiki, it looks and operates like it was set up to do and they come along and add things and do things in ways that aren't like what they see already on here. I just can't comprehend why they can't use their eyes and brains. HaarFager 19:36, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

Page Name ChangesEdit

Hi Haager, The reason I keep changing the name of the page is because it'll create an automatic page redirect, and keeps from breaking the links created previously. The name on the base changes way less often then the name of the package, which is what most of the older page names are based on. Also the reason I use parenthesis for the year, even if it's hyphenated is because I know apostrophes do some weird things due to HTML in the address bar. RazoE

Yes, I realize that, the way you're making changes is the correct way to do it. It's just that you probably haven't been a member of the Matchbox or Hot Wheels wiki for long enough to have been a part of the discussion we had about naming pages. It was decided long ago to name vehicles with the first name they were released under. In this case, it would be the Audi RS6 Avant. Only if that particular casting name gets used again for a different casting did we decide that a name such as Audi RS6 Avant (2004) would be necessary. Until such time as it would become necessary, for whatever reason - they alter the casting slightly or come out with a totally different vehicle with the same exact name, would we go to that type of name. Using it before it was necessary just confuses things needlessly. So, I hope you see that I didn't have anything against you or your changes, it was just that this change is not cecessary at this time. I've been away from here because my dad's cancer got worse and then he died here at home. I was very busy for a while there and now I'm trying to take care of everything now that he's gone. It's been a trying time, but Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars might be able to give me a break from some of that. I'm still taking care of things, but hope to be able to devote more time to the wikis soon. Well, my dad died and then a week later my uncle died. So, it's been a very busy and sad time around here. I hope you understand that I wasn't signaling you or your edits out. Kenny HaarFager 22:32, October 31, 2011 (UTC)
I am very sorry to hear about your father and uncle and have my greatest condolences. I'll keep in mind about the name changing and keep it to a minimum and when it's necessessary. RazoE 13:35, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Metalflake -vs- Metallic Edit

Hey there, I asked one of the Hot Wheels designers and he said there is a difference between metallic and metalflake (although not a big one), but Metallic has smaller pieces of metal, and metalflake has larger chunks..RazoE 18:37, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the information, but I already know all that. A couple years back, the Administrators discussed this and we came to the conclusion that it would be easier to just use one term as a "catch-all" and it was decided that "metalflake" would be the one. Seeing as how it was the one used by Mattel themselves, as well. See this link over on the Hot Wheels Wiki for proof of this.
It boils down to the fact that it was a "command" decision and it's been decided. It shouldn't really be an issue any longer. Any guide or reference such as these wiki's are, should have a certain standardization to them and this helps the user greatly when things look the same across the board. Thanks for commenting about it, though! Kenny HaarFager 20:11, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

How To Get My Photo In The Right Place Edit

uploaded my photo of the 1956 Cadillac Eldorado that goes with the information I added, but I do not know how to get it posted to the correct place in the list. Thanks, D. Sautters Dsautters 02:52, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

First you have to upload your picture to the wiki using the "Upload photo" link on the left side of the page. Once it's uploaded, look at the coding for the other pictures on that page and insert coding similar to that in the correct slot, with your picture name. Hope this helps. Mobile HomeEdit

Hi, HaarFager. I did see your message on the Mobile Home page. At the time you left the message, I was involved in a major edit of the page, to obviate the need for that column. To avoid edit conflicts, I placed an all-caps notice at the top of the page. Yet, instead of waiting to see what I was doing, you disregarded my request and created an edit conflict. You may not know this, but edit conflicts can be very time consuming and frustrating to properly resolve. In the future, could you please give me (and other editors) the opportunity to finish our work before re-editing? Thank you.

Also, I disagree that the table column you deleted was unnecessary, as it then existed. But, I respect your opinion and would have wantd to hear more. Rather than simply undo my additions, in the future, may I ask you to take up the issue on either the article's talk page, or my own talk page? This way we can avoid having the readers of the article distracted by discussions of page format, etc. Again, Thank you. --Badger16 18:30, May 11, 2012 (UTC)

Update, having seen your edits at the Mobile Home Talk page: Thank you; you're very kind. --Badger16 18:33, May 11, 2012 (UTC)
I wasn't undoing your edits, not intentionally. I didn't know it was still being worked on until after I'd made all my edits. HaarFager 18:35, May 11, 2012 (UTC)

How do we nominate an article for "featured" status? Edit

Hi. What's the process for nominating an article for Featured Article status? Ambulance (1977) isn't there yet, but I think it will be soon. --Badger16 16:16, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

I think that's how you do it. Since I'm an administrator, I added it to the home page as a new "Featured Page." Is that what you meant? It's definitely worthy of featured status because you did some good work with that page. HaarFager 16:27, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Edit

Greetings, friend. I have a slight problem here. I thought you could help me out. Yesterday, I found a 911 Turbo in a 5 Pack so I added info about it on the 911 Turbo page. But I wasn't able to add the wheel type so I just wrote it's name. Can you please add the correct image for it please? I am new here so I might take some time getting around. Also please tell me how to remove photos or you remove it yourself (if possible). I want to remove my 911 Turbo's photo because I am uploading a new one, renamed. I hope you can help me. RS 2.7 05:36, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

To simply update the photo you uploaded, go to the photo's page and choose to "upload a new version" and it will save the new image over the old one and the links will still work correctly. As to adding the correct wheel type image, I don't know what kind of wheels it has so you'll have to go to the Matchbox Wheel Types page and try to match the wheel you've got on your 911. Hope this helps. HaarFager 16:39, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Professional Car Edit

Hi, It's me, Badger16. I'm at work and not signed in. But I changed the category name back to Category:Professional Car since that's the category name - that's where the other pages link to, and where the info is. Category:Professional Cars is empty. And I named it in the singular because Category:Ambulance is singular. - Badger16

Hi, I changed it back because that's not the proper way categories are used here. See my explanation elsewhere on the wiki. New users will just have to realize that when somebody like an Administrator changes something like this, it's most likely for a good reason. So, don't go second-guessing when you haven't got all the facts. I note that you are doing some very useful additions here, but this is not a useful addition, so please stop undoing what I am doing. Ambulance should be Ambulances as well. For the most obvious reason why, look at the bottom of the Ambulance (1977) page where it says "External links, Wikipedia article on 'Ambulances.'" You'll note that the plural is most correct. I think we have this straight now, so I'm going to take a chance and unblock you, since I know for sure who you are now and you're no vandal. HaarFager 21:35, May 25, 2012 (UTC)
I have replied over at Talk:Ambulance#Categories --Badger16
I offer my apologies for acting without thought, and for confusing you as to my identity and intent. --Badger16 00:57, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Please see my apology over there as well! Sorry about that. HaarFager 03:08, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Proposed split at Peterbilt Edit

Proposed merger at Dump Truck (1989)Edit

Looks like we have two pages on the same subject, proposed merger at Talk:Dump_Truck_(1989)#Proposed_merge. --Badger16 23:48, May 28, 2012 (UTC). I also left notice with the only other editor I see has worked on the page in the past several months

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Edit

You've got good eyes, Kenny - I didn't even see that extra column in the table. I also noticed that you put a line between the table and the default sort - is that a stylistic thing or is it necessary for the coding to work? --Badger16 10:59, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

I put spaces and things like that so all the new users can see the end of table coding and things like that. It just helps them out a lot and saves me having to fix their mistakes all the time. That's also why I've always added a blank description at the end of each table, so that new users can just copy that area and add their description in. It saves me a lot of work in the end. Thanks for noticing! HaarFager 17:18, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

2012 ROW Edit

Kenny, do you know if there are ROW releases for 2012? --Badger16 (talk) 01:53, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

I don't know if there is or isn't, but I wouldn't see why there wouldn't be. I just have no clue as to what they are. Isn't there someplace where a person can download a Matchbox poster of the new cars each year that might show this information? HaarFager 02:03, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
Every few months I check their official site but it hasn't changed in a year or more, and doesn't have a poster, checklist, of showing of all models. Very frustrating. --Badger16 (talk) 02:37, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
There is this:, but it doesn't cover the Mattel era. -Badger16 (talk) 02:45, June 4, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry to drive you nuts with all these notes, but I also found this:, which indicates that the US and ROW lineups are the same this year.
Once they expanded the line to add more cars than the old I-75 lineup, I could see this coming eventually. HaarFager 02:59, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Open proposal at ambulance Edit

There is an open proposal at Ambulance, if you would like to comment. --Badger16 (talk) 01:40, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Metal flake vs Metallic Edit

I've seen a few of your edits where you're changing Metallic to Metal flake, and I think I remember one of your edit summaries indicating that this was a decision made some time back, only to use Metal flake. Given how often you're having to do clean-up on this issue, maybe it's time to revisit the it? What were the arguments against Metallic? --Badger16 (talk) 02:45, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Metalflake is to be one word. HaarFager 07:33, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
That's a pretty big space between the L of Metal ad the F of Flake. I think it's two words. But that's not the point I'm making - maybe it's okay for pages to use both terms. --Badger16 (talk) 20:29, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
No, it's not okay to use both terms. It was standardized a couple years back. Here on the Hot Wheels Wiki, we will only use "metalflake." It has to be that way for something like an encyclopedia to work. HaarFager 22:54, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not asking about the Hot Wheels wiki, which is a separate enterprise and can do things a different way. Since the terms do mean something different (they refer to the size of the metal chips in the paint), I think we're being misleading (and therefore unencyclopediac) by only using one term. And, I think it's making a lot of work for you, which takes you away from doing the work you want to do.
If the only reasons for using one term are 1) that the Hot Wheels Wiki does it that way, and 2) that's how we've always done it, then I think it's time to look at the policy again. --Badger16 (talk) 23:08, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
It hasn't always been done that way. The size of the metal chips in cars this small can not be that much different, hence no need to use two different terms. Shall we rule that every user has to measure the chips before knowing which term to use? No. If you use one term such as "metalflake," everybody knows what is being talked about and they can move on to more important things. Like what color the paint is instead of the insiginificant detail of the size of the chips in the paint - which doesn't matter at all. This is really a non-issue and I wish it wouldn't keep coming back up every year or two. It's not time to look at the policy again, and frankly, I'm tired of looking at it over and over and over again. HaarFager 23:30, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

&nbsp Edit

Hi, Kenny. I'm occasionally seeing &nbsp at the bottom of a page (List of 2011 Matchbox, for instance, just below List_of_2011_Matchbox#Additional_2011_Releases). It seems a strange combination for a typo - I have a hazy idea that it looks like html or other web page coding - so I didn't want to delete it without getting your input. Thoughts? - Roger (Badger16 (talk) 15:39, June 11, 2012 (UTC))

What that is, is coding for a single, blank space. Remove it. Blank spaces are not needed in the tables and coding we use here, and it's just people using it that aren't aware that we don't use that around here. You can delete it, as it's not needed. HaarFager 19:53, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for asking! I've been busy with doctor's visits and work and I'll be working all weekend again. But, I'm getting my batteries recharged for 1:64! HaarFager 01:50, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
Hang in there! --Badger16 (talk) 04:07, June 22, 2012 (UTC)
Did you see today's little incident involving myself and user 69 Chevy over on the Hot Wheels Wiki? He keeps following me around and undoing my work. When I create a page like the 1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, which happens to be the name it had on it's first release, he moves the page to '63 Cadilla Coupe DeVille and changes the default sort to reflect the new name. I went back and changed it to the proper name. Then he questions my ability to understand how default sort works. Of course I know how it works. I want it to direct people to it's proper name "1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille," instead of it's improper name of "'63 Cadillac Coupe DeVille." It's simple to understand, really. So, I gave him a week's vacation block to think about matters. The main reason I banned him was he called me a name and that kind of behavior is just not tolerated there. It's not easy being an Administrator, especially with crazies like him. Sometimes, it's just not much fun anymore hanging around the wikis because of people like him. Read the notes left for the page for the Cadillac, under the notes left during the edits, and the block log there to see what was said. HaarFager 04:27, June 22, 2012 (UTC)
I'm actually not active on the Hot Wheels wiki, but I'll take a look. Sounds like it was a real pain. --Badger16 (talk) 21:18, June 22, 2012 (UTC)
It took me a bit to get over there (busy week and weekend here), but it looks as if you two have some history, which made you both a bit quick on the draw. For the issue you discussed, it looks like a debate on whether vehicles should be sorted by four-digit year or two-digit year, an issue we have here at Matchbox as well (I'll treat that in a new section). I wasn't able to find any policy on that when I looked around the site, so perhaps a policy would help for the future. Hope this helps - Roger (Badger16 (talk) 18:16, June 24, 2012 (UTC))
Thanks for taking the time to look into it. As far as "policy" goes, there probably isn't much written down, and maybe there should be, but it settled into a comfortable format early on. Now, users come along and want to change it all around to suit their way. If they would get a "feel" of how everything is done around here, they would soon learn not to just go making random changes to suit themselves. It will probably be impossible to have one authoritative page with all the policies around here gathered up in one place. To me, when I'm not sure of something, I'll look around and find the way already used for that particular edit and do it that way. But, as far as writing down "policy," to me that seems like having to always include something like "Clear Air," when everybody already knows air is clear, and therefore there's no need to write up a policy about it's being clear. Working on Wikis isn't really rocket science, but it does seem to be above most users that come on here. So, all I could say is maybe we need some sort of training page for every new user. They would have to complete it correctly before being allowed to make real edits. It sure does get old following new users around and correcting all their mistakes simply because they can't understand the basic principles of working on wikis and refuse to try and learn first. Anybody can learn using the method I learned with - and that is - if you want to do an edit, first see how it's done on here and then use that method to do your edit. Then it will conform with the standard that was adopted for this wiki. True, probably every wiki does things different, but the people that started this one settled on a way for doing things that would most suit their needs. So, who am I to ask that they change their methods just to suit me? HaarFager 23:12, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Default sortEdit

I'm shoehorning this in between two other sections since it is related to the section above - hope it doesn't throw you off that things aren't quite in chronological order. In looking at our category pages I see that we're sorting pages in several different ways. Some are sorted by four-digit year, others by two-digit year, and still others by model name. When I'm looking for a specific model, that means that I have to look in several different places if there's a given model that I'm interested in. Several days back I started to attack the problem, making a perhaps arbitrary decision to place the vehicle name first in the default sort, followed by the four-digit year, but I saw that you undid one of those edits, so I put that project aside till we all had a chance to discuss it. I have created a proposal at Forum:Default_sort -- Badger16 (talk) 18:52, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Blocking and Banning Edit

Hi. I looked on Badger16's talk page and you have secretly put a message about me. I am doing wrong edits because I do not know what you mean by coding. Also, The designer is only used for Hot Wheels, and matchbox vehicles are designed by multiple designers. Check out the Jeep Wrangler Superlift from 2012 and it has 8 designers. Also, you have to check if this user really understands everything you know instead of accusing them for misunderstanding. If you care about manners, put it on your profile that everyone needs to act seriously around you. Also, when there is a new user, you always leave a message thanking them for editing the page he or she edited, so that may mean you are the creator of the wiki. If you are, please put them on the profile, and if you think that's private stuff, still put the things that people need to be aware of around you. Check out the block log, and everyone is being nice not to block you, but you are blocking everybody, mostly misunderstanding. If you tell everybody what you mean by "coding," they will understand and make less errors. However, make sure they understand before you block or ban. 14:01, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Also, I want you to stop thinking that all your edits can't be changed by anyone. That action is taking over, and I want you to answer anything anyone don't know what you mean, such as coding. However, thanks for deleting the pages of lists of future vehicles. 14:17, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

I stopped by on another matter and saw this message. I left you a message on your talk page that may help. --Badger16 (talk) 19:39, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not a mind reader, anonymous user, so don't tell me to stop blocking people who don't know coding. If you don't know coding, you need to let me know this and I will gladly help you. But, if you continue doing mistakes without asking, I can only assume you know what you're doing because you're not asking for help. So, don't blame me because you don't know how to code properly or don't even know how to ask for help to learn. HaarFager 22:37, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
Tell me why you are prepared to ban me and I will stop whatever you tell me to do. I will be more careful around you. 13:49, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
You don't have to be more careful around me, you have to be more careful around you. It's you who are making the mistakes, not me. HaarFager 23:33, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Are you the owner? Edit

Are you the owner of this wiki - or at least the creator? You told me that you have to take control over things so everything could go the way it should be. You have done the most correct things, as I could see on Matchbox Cars Wiki HomePage. You have set the rules, so you may be the creator or the owner. If you are, put that on top of your profile before anything else, because that's more important than anything else on your profile if you really are the owner or the creator. 15:22, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

As far as I know, you can't "own" a wiki. But, no, I'm not even the creator. I'm just an Administrator. Show me where I have set the rules instead of simply enforcing the rules. I don't have to "take control" of things, just make sure it stays focussed. HaarFager 23:35, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Help Edit

Hi. I need to know what I am doing wrong and what I have to stop to avoid more trouble, because I am very close to banning. If I do one more thing wrong I can get banned, so I need help on how to do it right. 15:45, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I'll try to list a few things you did, which wasn't the standard way things are done around here and maybe that will help. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask me about them over on my talk page.
1 - In the table at the top of vehicle pages in the slot that was reserved for the designer of the vehicle, you would put the original designer of the full-sized vehicle instead of the Matchbox employee who designed the miniature version. That's what we're looking for here. When a Matchbox is called something like "Pontiac Solstice," for instance, we can already see that it was designed by Pontiac originally. There's no need to duplicate this information here.
2 - You created a page for a vehicle called "Highway Crew." But, you didn't use the proper coding for a vehicle page. Where's the header at top, where's the coding for the table so that people can put in the different descriptions? Where is the default sort or the categories? You've edited coding on other pages, so I know you've seen what proper coding looks like. What I do when creating pages is to go to another page, click the link to edit the page, then copy all the code from that page and past it onto the new page I'm creating. Then, I go through it and remove all the wrong data for the other car and replace it with the right information for the new vehicle. I may not have much information about it, but I'll add what I do know. In this way, the page has everything it needs and people that know more about this vehicle will have the proper places to add the information. I know I don't want to see a page like Highway Crew and try to add more information - there's no place to add any new information yet. That would mean that I would have to copy and paste all the correct coding myself, using up my valuable time, when the person who created the page could have and should have done this himself.
3 - On the Chevy Van page, I notice you added the word "Modification" into the header. When a page is created, it's most usually created with the proper name. You shouldn't come along and just randomly change the name. It defeats the purpose of how the search box will work or the categories and default sort will work. It's counter-productive to go second-guessing others who have already added the correct information. If, however, you suspect that the information you see on a page is not correct, you will leave a comment on the vehicle's talk page so that other users will see your thoughts and we can all discuss the matter and try to figure out what is right. After all, correct information is what we're looking for here and that is the only way this wiki will be an effective online tool.
4 - I notice that on the GMC School Bus page, you also took it upon yourself to change the name of the vehicle. Remember, if you think something is wrong, don't just change it to whatever suits you. Go to that vehicle's talk page and bring it up so that other users can discuss it and come to the right decision.
These are just a couple things I noticed. I hope this helps. But, if you need any further clarification or have any other questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask me over on my talk page.
Oh, and be sure to always leave a comment about each edit you do. When you write down what you did for that edit, others will know right away what you did and will not have to spend a lot of wasted time trying to first find your edits and then to figure out if they were right or wrong. Everybody needs to do this. You'll notice, I leave a comment with every single edit I do. This is to assist others in knowing what I did with each edit. I hope this helps you. HaarFager 23:58, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
Was this help beneficial to you? You've got to let me know, so if it isn't, I can try different suggestions. HaarFager 06:05, July 3, 2012 (UTC)
I know this isn't directed at me, but I think it's better. Related, I did find this: over at wikia community. Happy July 4th! -Badger16 (talk) 14:24, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

In looking over the respective talk pages (his, yours, and mine), I note that I appear to be having more luck in working with User than you. Not sure what to make of this, but I point it out - Roger (Badger16 (talk) 22:45, June 25, 2012 (UTC))

I noticed that as well. He'll go to you to complain about me instead of coming to me to have his questions about how to do something properly answered. It seems so counter-productive and a big waste of time. I am an Administrator and that's one of my duties around here to answer people's questions. But, they have to actually ask them because I'm not a mind reader. HaarFager 23:23, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
I think it has to do with differences in our approach. I've assumed that he's well-intentioned, just unschooled, and given direction on areas where he seems to be having trouble. I left several pointers on coding, and created a sandbox for him. He picks it up pretty quickly, actually, and I think that with continued guidance he can be a real useful member of the wiki. He's got a lot of energy and I think he means well. As do you. - Roger (Badger16 (talk) 03:10, June 26, 2012 (UTC))
Your welcome, im glad to help. Is the trash truck one on there? i dont see it.
Who left the above unsigned message? You can't respond properly when you don't know who you're talking to or understand what they're asking exactly. HaarFager 08:28, July 5, 2012 (UTC)

Boldface for article names Edit

Admittedly I'm basing this off of my work at Wikipedia, but I had thought that the article's name was to be mentioned in the first sentence of the article, and boldfaced there, regardless of which section is involved. I always thought of this as another indicator of the article's subject. I saw your chenges over at Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II, though, so perhaps I'm looking at this wrong? --Badger16 (talk) 15:04, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

Well, even when I got to both the Hot Wheels and Matchbox wikis, the name just above the table where it says it has come out in the following 1:64 scale versions was bold even before I got here. As far as making the name bold in the description below the header, there's no real need for this. A lot of vehicles don't even have a description and so you can't get any kind of standardization going. With the name of the vehicle at the very top of the page, plus being highlighted in the header, there's not much need to highlight the name anymore. That's the way it was done when I got here and I see no real need to change it. That's not really an answer, but have you got any special reasons why you think it should be bold in the description? Generally, if any names are bold in the description, it's just alternate names the casting has been known under. This makes them really stand out. Sorry for my late reply, I work weekends and had to be out of town today, Monday. I don't do a whole lot of wiki-ing on Friday through Sunday. HaarFager (talk) 21:42, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
I totally forgot about this. I guess it just seems kind of peculiar to me to place the boldface name in location that's potentially so far down the page. But of the things to worry about, I think that's pretty far down, for me. --Badger16 (talk) 00:29, July 23, 2012 (UTC)
What ultimately really matters? That we are born and we die. Do what you think is best, I don't really care anymore. It's just too frustrating to deal with life at times. HaarFager (talk) 01:15, July 23, 2012 (UTC)
That's rather a troubling response, Kenny. What's going on? Or, if you prefer, send me a personal email - I activated "accept email from other users" so you should be able to do so. (Forgive me for not giving my email here - I don't want it to be available to other viewers). Hang in there - Roger --Badger16 (talk) 01:53, July 23, 2012 (UTC)
It's just sheer frustration, Roger. Read the comment thread directly below this, initiated by that unregistered user and you'll see what I mean. HaarFager (talk) 17:11, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
Take a vacation. We'll be here when you get back. And hang in there. --Badger16 (talk) 14:55, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

Abbreviations Edit

I have seen abbreviations on Hot Wheels Wiki before. You can see Met. for Metalflake all the time there. I have seen many abbreviations on Hot Wheels Wiki before. That's why I put the abbreviation on the Ford F-350 Superlift page. 14:23, July 23, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for informing me of that. I've been trying to go through there and remove all abbreviations. You're adding more isn't helping any. Please try not to use abbreviations. HaarFager (talk) 15:48, July 23, 2012 (UTC)

List of 2006 MatchboxEdit

Someone help me. I edited the List of 2006 MaTCHBOX List but found out that I made an error. The MB06 is J5578 and is a Ford SVT F-150 Lightning. I went in and corrected it but I don't have the picture. Can anyone put the picture back? I would really appreciate it. Cliff64 (talk) 01:54, July 30, 2012 (UTC)

MB-6 Ford SVT F-150 LighteningIs this the picture you're looking for? --Badger16 (talk) 18:16, July 30, 2012 (UTC)
I couldn't find where you'd actually saved any of your changes. At least there didn't appear to be any recent edits of the List of 2006 Matchbox page. HaarFager (talk) 21:52, July 30, 2012 (UTC)

Images Edit

I've been working my way through the images, tagging those that lack licensing info, and I've noticed that on some pages (for instance, '08_Ford_E-350_Ambulance), when I click on an image, it merely loads the image on a black background, with no way to get to the image's page and thus no way to check the image's licensing. Do you know of a way around this? --Badger16 (talk) 23:49, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

I can't recreate the issue you're having, but have you tried right-clicking on the image and opening it in a new window? That always works for me. HaarFager (talk) 00:47, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
I just tried that, following your suggestion, but I wind up with the same difficulty. If you're not able to duplicate it, though, it must be something in my settings, so I'll take a look there. Thanks for the help - now at least I know where to look for the source of the problem. --Badger16 (talk) 10:06, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

Deleting Pages Edit

Stop deleting pages such as Dodge Charger Interceptor. They will be released for 2012 because even the back of the 2012 card says it. We will have to start all over again and redo our work. If you are not so sure go to an official list of 2012 matchbox. Don't delete a page until you are sure it will not be released. 14:15, September 2, 2012 (UTC)

Warning! Do not create a page until it is released or you are sure it's going to be released. And unless you know somebody that works in the Matchbox factory, you can't be sure enough for this wiki. Do I make myself clear? But - if you DO create a page, create it correctly, not like it's been being done. Put a proper header, table and stuff like that. Matchbox News Edit

FYI: Matchbox News --Badger16 (talk) 03:27, September 27, 2012 (UTC)

If everyone will keep that kind of information on that page alone, they can have it. Have you seen the similar idea over on the Hot Wheels homepage? It's called "The Scoop." HaarFager (talk) 06:16, September 27, 2012 (UTC)

What Are You Talking About? Edit

I noticed the image you posted of the 911 Turbo as a representation of the MB #106 "Jungle" 911 Turbo, yet it appears to be the 911 Turbo from the 2012 MB 5-Pack "Police". If you have the packaging, please post it somewhere, otherwise, you may want to take it down as you may have made a mistake. 21:29, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

What are you talking about? Are you talking to me? Show me some links to what you are talking about. Also, register and get a proper user name or I will not respond to you anymore. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 01:58, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

Problems Editing Edit

hi i have a question, I hit edit on the wiki and i put photos on but once i hit publish i did not see my edits of the pics i added on the wiki.

Try refreshing your cache by emptying it out and then try to edit again. See if that works. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 02:46, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

I've just uoloaded a Picture from a Matchbox No.66 Greyhound Coach.

Link Back on the 2008 Ford Expedition Page. Edit

Hey I just wanted to figure out how to:

1. Add the wheels image. the resource is already available as the same wheels are used on other cars.

2. Link back the 2008 Police 5-Pack on the Ford Expedition page I just created to the #Police bookmark on the 2008 Police 5-Pack Page.

Hi, thanks.  I pretty much updated the entire lists from 1994-2015 so that's its more readable with all of the vehicles and also features the new or modified castings for each year.  Now all someone has to do is add pictures and MAN numbers (I don't have enough to do either).  I have yet to sign up on Wiki, but my name is Joe and I run a blog called Two Lane Desktop (  Just let me know if you need help with any other section of the Wiki.

Two Lane Desktop

Thanks for the Welcome Aboard! I really only have two pages I can contribute on, but as I'm a specialist in those areas and well connected with their fan community I hope my work on the Jurassic World and The Lost World: Jurassic Park pages will be of some help. :)

Hepcik Edit

I uploaded some pictures of the Cadillac One to the Wikia yesterday. I replaced all the photos on the casting site of the Cadillac and I also replaced the photo of the Cadillac on the site "List of 2015 Matchbox".

Some hours later, the user "Hepcik" changed my photo on the "List of 2015 Matchbox" back to his photo.

He also re-added a photo to the gallery (of the Cadillac One casting site) that I've removed yesterday because it was out of focus.

After that, he wrote the following on my talk page: "Please, do not replace my photos !!! Otherwise your ban editing !!"

Sorry, but I don't understand his behaviour. Seems a little childish to me.

If you're comparing the photos I've added to the ones that were already there, you can see that I've tried to better represent the casting. My photos are brighter and in focus.

Could you please take care of this issue. Thanks in advance. ModellbauMaster (talk) 08:51, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've been talking to him about some of his other incorrect behavior, so I definitely know more about how he is now. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 15:15, December 11, 2015 (UTC)

I don't really know much about categories. I hardly ever use them or add them. So, I could really help with them. Sorry. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 09:58, January 7, 2016 (UTC)

Modifying The Wiki Edit

I wonder how I made a mistake? Steps to modify the site is still no mistakes and it was not?

I wonder how I made a mistake? Steps to modify the site is still no mistakes and it was not?

Some things don't need modifying. Such as certain code that has been used for years for various parts of the pages. Things don't need to continually be changed so that they're always different. If something works, leave it alone. Just add new information, not modify something that doesn't need modifying. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:48, February 14, 2016 (UTC)

Policy re "List of" tables for secondary rangesEdit

Do we have a policy on the creation of "List of" tables for secondary ranges? I note the "1978 Sky Busters" are in a table on the "List of 1978 Matchbox" page, but "List of 2014 Skybusters" is in a table on its own seperate page, not on the "List of 2014 Matchbox" page. The latter seems preferable to me as some pages can get very large if all models from all ranges are included on the standard yearly "List of" page. Ford GT40 (talk) 06:25, February 23, 2016 (UTC)

Well, if we're going to create a list for the cars that all came out in 1978, for instance, every car that came out in that year should be on it, shouldn't it? Or else why even have a list of the cars that comes out in any given year? True, the pages might get longish, but at least they'll be complete. And space isn't an issue, so that won't be a problem. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 21:12, February 25, 2016 (UTC)
OK, if that's the policy I will follow it. Should I assume that it is therefore OK to combine any existing split pages into one, e.g. the content of the "List of 2014 5-Packs" page should be moved to the "List of 2014 Matchbox" page. Ford GT40 (talk) 09:21, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

Linking years in tablesEdit

In the Versions table on a single model page should we link to each year for which a model version was produced or ony to the year in which the version was released.Eg on the page Ford Escort RS2000, do we link the "white" version to List of 1978 Matchbox only or to both List of 1978 Matchbox and List of 1979 Matchbox. Ford GT40 (talk) 03:55, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

I think a car is considered to be released for a certain year period, like real cars. Say, a 2016 Ford Taurus comes out in September of 2015 and is sold for a year period until the the 2017's come out in September 2016. That's what they do with Hot Wheels, so use the year they are released for as the proper date. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 19:51, March 22, 2016 (UTC)
OK, so I should only be linking the version to the one page, i.e. the year of introduction. It may be worth adding this to the policy page. Ford GT40 (talk) 22:31, March 31, 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I was wondering why I locked edit, .. apparently due to some kind of encoding thumbnails for tablets, but I'm not doing anything like this and I do not know what it is, and I've done a lot of editing and never bothered. Perhaps you can write what to do? I ask for the user's HE PCIK. Thank you.

You need to learn how to use the Wiki properly before you go messing it up. To point out why I say this, you added this little question into another thread instead of creating it's own thread like the proper way to do things. Until you learn how to properly use a Wiki, perhaps it's best you don't do any more edits. You say you've done a lot of edits and never bothered. That is exactly the problem. You never bothered to check and see if what you were doing was correct, which it wasn't. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 06:39, May 20, 2016 (UTC)

Reason For Blocking Edit

Hello, you've blocked due to allegedly poor photos, but now I'm looking at page Chrysler Atlantic that there now edited by someone and it's like okay ??? Or is it only applies to someone ??? Thank you for your response Blocking ...---User:Hepcik 21.05.2016 (UTC)

I did not block you for "poor photos," you were blocked because you persist in using thumbnail coding in the tables. I've told you many times to stop using thumbnail coding in the tables. When you make an edit, do you see what it looks like when you add thumbnail coding to the tables, when none of the other pictures in the table have thumbnail coding? Can you see what you're doing wrong? You need to maintain the standards already in place and if you can not do this, perhaps you need to stop editing altogether. Because my time is more valuable than to waste it going along and fixing your mistakes. Now tell me you understand what I'm saying or else risk getting blocked again. I even hate wasting the time it takes to tell you over and over to stop making the same mistakes. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 20:10, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

Candidates for deletionEdit

There a quite a few pages under the Category "Candidates for deletion". How do we get these reviewed and deleted please? I would be happy to work on this myself if I had the authority. Ford GT40 (talk) 08:53, May 8, 2016 (UTC)

Should I be directing this question to another user? I feel that this is an important issue as there are quite a few pages which really should be deleted for the integrity of the site. Ford GT40 (talk) 04:21, May 27, 2016 (UTC)
No, directing this kind of thing to me is fine. It's just that, when I delete pages or photos, I always research each one to make sure I'm not getting rid of something useful. I don't take anybody's word that they should be deleted. I think as a good Administrator, I should do it this way. I just don't always have enough time to work on here sometimes. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 08:42, May 27, 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for that. Ford GT40 (talk) 07:30, June 14, 2016 (UTC)

Problem on GMC Bucket Truck pageEdit

There seems to be a problem with the GMC Bucket Truck page in that every time I add a Category via the "Add category" button at the bottom of the page, it saves with any existing category no longer displayed. Ford GT40 (talk) 23:19, June 18, 2016 (UTC)

Problem fixed as per Category problem. Ford GT40 (talk) 02:42, July 14, 2016 (UTC)

Help Start Collecting Edit

When will the 2017 set be relased?

How many cars will be in total?

My son would like to start collecting with the 2017. Thank you

I'm not sure. Maybe somebody else can answer this question. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 05:12, December 1, 2016 (UTC)

Occasionally the 2017 lineup had 125 castings. 2601:441:100:6090:FEA6:67FF:FEF7:7629 02:54, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

Vandalism Edit

Hello, User DANO48186 devastates page 2, yesterday I gave the site to its original state, but today they are again damaged these sites:List of 2014 Matchbox List of 2013 Matchbox List of 2012 Matchbox List of 2011 Matchbox List of 2010 Matchbox User:Hepcik 03:54, december 1, 2016 (UTC))

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will check it out and take appropriate action. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 05:12, December 1, 2016 (UTC)

Expected Action Edit

If you know on this topic, we've cleared that up, and all images what you leave there you go unnoticed. Please review the records and zjidtíte that I told you about this match, while you've already responded.

User talk:RUR 07:30, February 20, 2017 (UTC)

reaction Edit

I think about when I have exchanged photos (originally they were mine, and you are fired me), we have already finished, and so that all your photos to me again, I'll let you replace unnoticed and you will not ever threaten me blocking. Thank you. User talk:RUR 03:10, February 21, 2017 (UTC)

I just want one simple answer to my simple question. Why did you replace my good photo with the blurry one I removed? Why did you put it back? I'm trying to figure out what initially happened. Maybe you didn't realize what you were doing and made a mistake. If that's all it is, just say so. Everybody makes mistakes and it's not something to be banned over. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 03:56, February 21, 2017 (UTC)
It was a mistake, and as I wrote your photos do not interest me. RUR 16:10, February 22, 2017 (UTC)
That sounds pretty snotty to say my photos don't interest you. All the photos on the Hot Wheels Wiki should interest you or you should not be coming here. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 22:28, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

reaction Edit

I must apologize, I guess I wrote it wrong (I'm writing this through a translator, so it is possible that some words can sink in completely different). I'm a normal enthusiast Matchbox models and very happy to watch all the pictures modýlků that appear on this wiki. I mean only that your photos will therefore not change. Perhaps you like it as explanation enough. Thank you.

Suspension / other notes Edit

Hello, I just signed up because I love collecting MB's and occasionally Hot Wheels. However there is one info I miss most of the time: Somehow working suspension. Some newer MB's have it. E.g. older version of Sahara Survivor and I'd like to contribute adding this info. So my question is: Should I add a word about this in table overview or even add a new section? Maybe somewhere there is an example. Another question: What about clearly miss-designed models? Drill Digger cannot reach the ground. Would I have known this, I wouldn't have bought it. Hopefully you can answer this, you seem to edit quite a lot pages here. Regards, -- Device0 (talk) 15:45, April 13, 2017 (UTC)

Rather than add a new section, something like this would fit in the short description at the top of the page underneath the header. Readers might be interested to know of some of the differences such as this in their favorite models. As far as things like the Drill Digger not being able to reach the ground - I'm sure you tried it on level ground. Maybe it was meant to dig in dirt, where the vehicle might sink into the mud a little, and the level of the drill would be able to reach the ground then. That could happen! There's a Hot Wheels that used to shoot missles, but the missles were never able to actually explode. Don't we all wish they would have been able to? Ha ha! Well, thanks for the message and think about adding the suspension idea like I said. The more information about each car, the better! Kenny HaarFager (talk) 04:48, April 14, 2017 (UTC)
Regarding Drill Digger, I just would like to mention, that the roof is some millimeters too wide to make the model work at all. It's excately as if the drill was supposed to go into the mud (at an angle, which cannot be helped without major re-design of course). However somehow MB messed it up during design and/or production, which really is a pity, imho. I'm not talking about crazy exploding missiles stuff. However I get your point. If I start something like this, each and every model might get some rant added about not working details someone would like to have working and this is not, what this wiki is about. Repair damaged page (links to other pages).Edit

Hello, I was looking at an incorrect page fix: 2017 Matchbox. Now, there are a lot of links that are not working, is it possible to fix it? Thank you. RUR  04:53, October 10, 2017 (TC)

I didn't see any "damage" to the page, as you described it. I did see a couple links that weren't working, but that's only because the page for those particular models haven't been created yet. Creating pages for vehicles that don't have one is something every user can do. HaarFager (talk) 10:13, November 11, 2017 (UTC)

Images Needing RenamingEdit

Hi. Due to a mistake on my part we now have a Category "Images needing renaming" with no pages and another "Images Needing Renaming" with 29 pages. I apologise for the error. My I ask that the first one be deleted to avoid confusion. Have there been any further thoughts regarding renaming the images in the second Category? As I have said before I would be happy to help with this. Ford GT40 (talk) 03:31, December 4, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll try to do that as soon as I can find it. Plus, I've been really busy this week making all my Christmas treats that I give out to family and friends. Been doing that since Saturday. But, I'll actually do something soon, I promise! Ha ha. HaarFager (talk) 13:02, December 7, 2017 (UTC)
There doesn't seem to have been much progress on clearing the Category "Images Needing Renaming" which now has 62 images under it. I would be more than happy to help with this if no existing Administrator has the time. Ford GT40 (talk) 03:32, July 12, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the welcoming message, I just added a variant on one of the few Matchbox cars that I own. Also I have a little question, about the Mack Auxiliary Power Truck Its because I feel that mentioning that the car features a "working" suspension is quite necesary. Regards Luis 64 bits (talk) 03:42, December 15, 2017 (UTC) (PD, sorry for my bad english, thats because its not my native language)

No problem at all! Thanks for helping out by adding your version! Kenny HaarFager (talk) 10:51, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

Problem with the page creation templateEdit

The page creation template seems to have been changed recently and now gives a rather unsatisfactory result. Would you please have a look at the newly created page 1914 Stutz (Y-8) and its talk page and let me know what is going on. Thanks. Ford GT40 (talk) 07:11, January 31, 2018 (UTC)

I don't know what's going on with that page - it's alien to me, and I've never seen anything like it. I did go to the recent changes page to see when the template might have been changed, but it (evidently) didn't go back that far. If I knew where the template page was, I could study the history and see who changed it. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 06:40, February 8, 2018 (UTC)
I found the problem. Some user named (Matthewj55) did something to it that screwed it up and didn't have sense enough to unscrew it up. I got it back to the way it should be. Let me know if it actually is back to normal. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 06:45, February 8, 2018 (UTC)
Yep, works properly again now. Thank you very much. Ford GT40 (talk) 08:53, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome! Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:54, February 10, 2018 (UTC)

Search results Edit

For some reason, the Search function at the very top of the page no longer seems to be working properly for me. For example, if I type in say, Ford and then click the spyglass icon and then and choose the "Photos only" option, all I get is two images of the Ford Fairlane Wagon. Now there must be hundreds of images in our database with the word Ford in the file names so why do I only see two? Does the same thing happen to you if you try this?

Ford GT40 (talk) 04:19, July 2, 2018 (UTC)

Slowly but surely getting used to it. Just added a pic of the wheel variation for #41 D Type Jaguar.

==Models of Yesteryear==
Hello my friend. I really want your opinion this this case. I was adding every release on this page with on the purpose to make easy search on them. Until a month or two ago somebody (user Ford GT40) started complaining to me, saying my work was "duplication" of information.  Right now I saw that he deleted my work on the page without receving an answer from the Adm. I sorry if I'm disturbing you with this issue. Tonny6660 (talk) 19:24, July 9, 2020 (UTC)
